So just as I was about to place an order. I saw a video that ai guy who was using the m205 followed up with the #9 by meguiars. I was wondering if the collinite 845 would do the same thing or which one is better. I feel like the meguires #9 would work better because it is 2 of the same products, but I have heard many great things about the 845 stuff. PLEASE HELP

BTW i will be working on mainly new vehicles with the exception of some older vehicles. most have light swirl marks.

Megs #9 (a finishing polish) and Collinite 845 (a finishing wax) are used for 2 different purposes. One helps prepare the surface for the other.

Meg's #9 is a filler polish which has a lower cut level than m205, 845 is a wax and should be used as your LSP. You'll love the durability of 845.

so is this the correct order to go by

wash
clay bar
(some sport get the ulitimate compound from megs)
m205
m#9
845

could I get away with just using the 205 then going right to the C845 or should i also use the #9?

You could skip the #9 I would say it's just an extra step that has benefits such as fillers that would fill in any small scratches you may have missed with the 205

instead of buying the m#9 just go over M205 with a lower cut polishing pad (like LC black/LC white pad with lesser pressure). which will take away any small lines left from M205 (which is rarely). in my experience, polishing with M205 and a white pad pretty much take me to sealant/wax as the next step (which in your case the 845). BTW my paint is really soft.
