In thinking about it, three is currently my non-Meguiar's product count as well. My three non-Megs products are:
1. Leather Cleaner
2. Leather Protection
3. Coating
I know Meguiar's recently introduced a new leather sealant but I still have quarts of Leather Masters to go through before I'll likely even try it.
Hopefully for 2014, Meguiar's will bring a strong coating product to the US market as well.
I've been asked before on another forum why I predominately use Meguiar's products. For me, the answer is easy. They make good products and they stand behind them unconditionally. They have toll free CS staff to handle any problems I may encounter and they have stayed on top of their game, for some 112 years. They produce products for the consumer, the professional and the volume detailer. They perform and price competitively in all three markets. They cover a very broad spectrum of auto care needs, broader than any other manufacturer I am aware of, and they simplify my purchasing, stocking and resupply.
There is also this... I find this to be true of any manufacturers products.
Once I've learned the character and best techniques for a given product, it will usually perform above my expectations. Initially, if a product doesn't seem to be giving the results that I expect, it may be that my technique is at least partially to blame. Once I learn a particular product I can count on predictable and repeatable results, time after time, car after car. I do devote a bit of time to exploring new products but I don't introduce them into my work flow without a good deal of testing and making a value judgement on the gains.
I guess what I'm saying is I have used Meguiar's products for many years (decades actually) and have learned to love them and while I do test other products I've found little reason to alter my work flow except for the previously mentioned three areas.
