Im looking to get a GG6 soon but am tore on which pads to get....the polisher will be a wknd warrior on 2 Volkswagens both 2010s....I use 105 and 205 polishes so Idk if being Meguiars polishes they'd work best on the megs pads....any advice would be appreciated

Which pads do u suggest getting?.... Would the black polishing foam pad be ok on a white car?....the description says on a black/dark colored car

The microfiber GG pads sound good, but 6 (3 cutting 3 finishing) would cost ~$87 vs the Meg's or LC foam pads costing just over $100 for 12 pads

The new Megs thin pads (discs) are the bomb apparently. They are meant to totally transform a DA like the GG6.

I've read lots of good reviews...

Absolutely! Only pads I use now with my GG6. My LC flats, not so much.

Yea lake country seem to be a very popular and widely liked pad.... Very tried and proven.... Then the Meg's sound awesome in the little reviews I've read....prices are similar

Nice to see fellow GG6 users weighing in on the Meg's pads.... I think I may just end up going with them :)

I will say I bought the thin cutting pad and really loved the way it performed with my gg6

Meg's thin pads work great on the GG6 and even the long throw polishers. I reach for the maroon pad much more often than my MF discs because of how well they cut and the finish it leaves. The polishing pad is a dream to work with also. Super soft and smooth.

Whatever you decide make sure you get a 5" backing plate so you can use 5" or 5.5" pads--much more effective, less expensive and easier to work with than 6.5". I use 5.5" Buff & Shine pads with my GG6 and they perform very well and are very durable.

Yea I been really thinking about what size BP to go with and I been leaning towards the 5" for effectiveness.... This Volkswagen clear is HARD!!

The new Meguiar's pads are great. You may want to pick up a couple of their microfiber pads as well just to have in your back pocket.

The new thin cutting pad works really well and finishes down nicely.

Jeff Brown is doing a write and sent me some info on using the BOSS pads with the GG6. Apparently it makes the GG6 like a totally new animal.
