I am looking for a quick wax or detailer to use following washes to keep my car shiny and protected between UPP applications.

A lot of good feedback on the forum about the Meguiars products, so I need help about your preferences for the above use. There are 3 products:

D156 synthetic spray wax
Ultimate quik wax G-17506
Ultimate quik detailer G-14422

Are any of these the same product just going by different names?
Do you have a preference? What are the differences?

The descriptions indicate d156 is primarily a wax that can be used as THE protection, eg a substitute for an LSP, so I'm not sure if this is the best over the UPP. The quik wax description boasts more description about polymers than the others, but both of the above are "synthetic" waxes. The detailer appears to be primarily a detailer with a hint of wax in it (?).

So, I'm really confused about the Meguiars line so help me please!

I have been using the four star UPP detail spray and like it. If you have other preferences besides the Meguiars, suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

I actually went out and bought the Quik Wax last night. After some research after purchasing its been confirmed that D156 is the same as Quik Wax other than the smell. As for the detailer, I'm not sure what the detailer equivalent would be, but I suspect its last touch or something.

$32 for 128oz of D156 vs $5-$6 for 16oz of Quik Wax.

If it's just a drying aid, UWW should do the trick. If you need to add protection as well, Four Star Spray Wax comes with polychargers and in gallon size. It's good to stay within a system if you are using UPP.

D156 = Ultimate Quik Wax
M135 = Ultimate Quik detailer

UQW offers longer protection and boosts the wax or sealant on the car.
UQD offers that just waxed look. It also offers protection but not as long as UQW. Both are hydrophobic.

UQD looks better than UQW, but offers no real protection. It really amps up the shine and sheets like crazy. Car stays clean longer. Can't go wrong with either.

D156/UQW are great drying aids with some protection and applies in any temp and looks great too.

D156 offers pretty good durability and slickness as a spray wax.
Optimum Car wax is also good

Try the Gold Class Quik Detailer and Quik Wax. Both work awesome.

I have all of these products and they all work great but I like the Ultimate Detailer and Ultimate Wax the best. The Meguiars Gold Class Wax and detailer are also excellent products. If I was doing details on customers cars all day long I would use the Meguiars D156 Express Wax in the gallon size.
