Which would you guys go for when used on a daily driver (although it usually just sits in the elements).

The Ultimate Compound and the D105 are both good, but, how much difference is there between the two?

I've got some water spots a few minor scratches and in need of a complete detail meaning a good 2 BW, clay baring, then starting the polishing process. No serious swirl marks, but, the water spots are at least moderate and scratches are minor to barely moderate.

So many products, so little money.

A "Test Spot" will go a long way in
determining the product(s) you'll
need to accomplish your goals.

"Ultimate Compound or UC as it's called in the forum world
is the consumer version of M105 Ultra-Cut Compound"

Maybe M180 :D

Might want to take a look at HD Cut or HD Adapt--easy to work with, long working time, little to no dust, removes easily.

The Ultimate Compound is very user friendly.

On the Autopia chart it's a 10/12, where 105 is 12/12.

Meguiar's usually does their tnog events with UC, and rarely if ever need anything more potent.

It works great in a wide variety of finishes, and pads. I've always liked it with the green 60 ppi foam light cutting / heavy polishing pads.
