meguiars ultimate compound

has anyone out there used meguiars ultimate compound? i tried it last night and it doesnt seem to ever come off. after i buffed it in using my PC it seemed to stay really wet and just kind of smeared as i tried to wipe it off. i have never seen a compound act like this. any thoughts? maybe i am just doing something wrong.
 
I believe the new products, UC being one of them, has the SMAT abrasives in it. Next time I would recommend working the material a little longer..that would be my next test. Also, is this a test spot your having a problem with, or the whole car?
 
You also maybe using to much product.Mike Phillips had a demo with this at DF look very easy to use.Also take off this product before it dries
 
UC is designed to be used wet. It has a long work time and you do not wait for it to dry. It has polishing oils that help from marring the surface and allow it to finish almost LSP ready. Basically, use until defects are removed then wipe.
 
also use a little of the product, like what harleyguy stated earlier
 
I used it by hand and had no problems with it. I just work it in a bit until it looked like I had the desired result and wiped it off.
 
You used too large a quantity. Even though you should remove it before it dries it should take little effort to wipe clean after working it in.
