Meguiars Ultimate on top of Jetseal Conundrum

You must think that additional applications actually do layer, will add film-thicknesses, which will stop contaminates---even bird bombs---from reaching the CC.

I personally don't believe that's true.

Therefore, I don't see how an application of Ultimate Paste Wax could possibly maximize the performance of even one application/(film-layer) of Jetseal...let alone two or more.

However, and as I mentioned before:
It's your prerogative on the maintenance product selection.

I either read or saw it somewhere about putting a wax on top of Jetseal for additional protection as well as a different look. It might have been carnuba but it is another layer. I'm no chemist and quite possibly the carnauba type of wax might be the only way to add an extra layer on top of the Jetseal product. I must maximize the protection. Either way, the fun is in the shine.

CG Has a kit, I think it's Petes or 50/50 they put on top.

Thanks for the information, I'll do more research and look into it. I was looking to use the Meguiars Ultimate Wax that I have which would last longer than a carnuba before spending more money on other products. This forum has been very helpful and is much appreciated. Thank you.

I've already put on 2 coats of Jetseal and I guess I'll do a third for Ultimate protection. Then, next time I wash my ride I'll use Meguires Ultimate Wax as a regular scheduled maintenance topping. What do you all think?

Consider a spray wax for amintenance.

Totally a judgement call on your part.

On the plus side, it would provide a fresh protective element.

As some have stated, it may not be necessary at this time, but it's up to you, ultimately.

Topping is optional. The carnauba may change the look. But also remember the surface tension changes to the product that is the topper.

This is a pretty common wax to use with jetseal. In addition to that, you stay within the same family of product. It's synergy as Mike Phillips would say.

Exactly. I have one car with BFWD and one with BFWD topped with Midnight Sun and the water beading size is totally different between the two.
