Meguiars Ultmate Liquid Wax streaking

I think Billie is right. I don't see any streaks today.

One thing I have noticed about UW is it takes a day (overnight) to do its' magic 'cross-linking.'

The first time I used it, I too had the infamous streaking. Just said, "I'll play with it tomorrow. I'm ready for dinner." Next morning...No streaks.

After reading up on this situation, it did/does appear the this is just the nature of the beast. I just accept the fact that it WILL be a bit 'streaky' for a bit of time.

Just my .02...

Bill

Yeah that's what I noticed too... I'd put two coats on and it would look good but a bit streaky/splotchy for me. However, by the next day it would look ten times better. I personally like ULW, especially for it's beading and protection abilities since it is an OTC product. I think I got it for like $9 at Wal-Mart once and it came with a black applicator and a black supreme shine towel. Can't beat that price.

One big good thing about UWL is it doesn't stain trim!

Last summer I purposely used it (UWL) on the textured plastic areas on my truck. No staining, no left over 'stuff' in the edges...just a nice shiny appearance. Really made the mirror head much easier to 'de-bug' and clean.

ULW not only doesn't stain trim but it leaves trim, even textured trim looking better than when I used dedicated vinyl protectors on it. It also doesn't run down the side of the car in the rain like some vinyl protector products do.

It does seem to me to be Meguiar's longest lasting LSP.

I'm amazed by Ultimate paste wax. I applied to my sisters brand new focus. All I did was use megs cleaner wax, followed by two coats of Ultimate paste wax back to back to ensure I got every spot and crevice. The smell is amazing, it's super easy to use, made my sister pearl white just pop and lasts a Long time. I applied it a couple of days before Easter, we made a trip to CA last minute and I wanted it protected. To this day it still sheets amazing and beads. It was parked in the garage almost every night. But during the AZ heat outside. It's an overlooked sealant IMO..

Taken a week ago after a rain. I was shocked how well it was still beading. I'm a Meg's user for life.

UQW is easy to use, it does not leave white residue like other waxes on the market and has a pleasant experience.
I had good experiences with Meguiars UQW and always use it. If the surface is warm and you get fast flash off, then use your common sense and spray more product and wipe off again, then it will look perfect.

Easy to use, pleasant experience, good shine........
I like this product. One of my favorites.

I'm not a fan of Megs products generally, but was given a 6 oz sample of Ultimate Liquid Wax. Had to leave the car at the airport for a week during pollen season so washed and dried the car then applied a thin coat of ULW using a Buff & Shine red pad with GG DA. Did the whole car then waited an hour and buffed off with a MF. I experienced no streaking and have been impressed with the results--very slick and glossy. After the week at the airport car was covered with a thick coat of pollen and what I assume was jet exhaust. Had to wash it twice to get it off, but the ULW held up great--still slick and glossy. It's been over 8 weeks now and I'm impressed with how it's maintained it's gloss and slickness. Seems like a great product.

Waxed my black truck in April with UPW, still going strong and the paint has gotten to 190 degrees. I love it.
