I just wanted to get some input, I have been going back and forth with these two and still havent been able to choose what brand I'll be going use on my car...the wax applicators are basically my tiebreakers so here goes:
Im on a fairly tight budget so heres my breakdown

Meguiars $150.00 for the applicator as to Mothers power ball for paint $50.00 thats a big difference for my budget

I was wondering if I can use the Mothers Powerball and use the Meguiars NXT techwax together... Does anyone anticipate any problems I might have by using these two in together?

Any feedback would be great
thanks

I would say don't waste your time with the Powerball. Too many chances to screw up something with the drill. Get a real PC or the Megs G110 and some pads. You can do more than apply wax that way.

X2...powerball for paint is kinda gimmicky IMO. spend the 150 for a real DA polisher, invest in some more pads over time. In the mean time apply wax by hand.

I vote for Meguiar's. You're talking about their DA polisher, right?

i wouldnt waste the money on a powerball, save for the g110

If you need paint correction, you should get a DA random-orbital and an assortment of pads.

For wax application and minor polishing without any elbow grease needed, the PowerBall 4Paint can be had $24.99 here at Autogeek and is a great alternative to hand waxing. It has no vibration and makes application quick and easy. I've used it with FX SynWax and Carnauba Cleaner Wax with great results.

Mothers PowerBall 4 Paint, Mothers PowerBall 4Paint, Mothers Power Ball, Mothers paint polishing ball, polish paint, wax ball, mother's, mothers wax,

And you can use it with any wax you like, even multi-step systems, though you will want to wash and dry the ball between steps.

I think you need to be more specific about what you want to do. You mentioned using the powerball with nxt.

So are you looking for a faster way of applying wax? For me, hand application is faster and uses less product than machine app.

If your looking to polish than don't waste your time with the powerball. Go straight for the g110.

Unless your going to buy multiple polishing heads than I doubt you would make it through even half the car with just one powerball. Can those even be cleaned like regular foam pads and a brush?

Not only that, you'll only have one type of cut. And actually, I don't even think that foam has any cut. Waste of money imo.

If your too lazy to apply wax by hand, get one of those cheap orbital buffers. If you want to do correction, your going to atleast need the g110

A powerball is in no way a replacement for a random orbital buffer. You should compare the PC versus G110 when funds are available for two machines more capable of correction.

thanks everyone for the great input will for sure consider all....thanks again
