Meguiars yellow wax ?

Are you talking about #26? That's a fine wax, however I think most members would recommend Collinite 845 for that money.

I agree the #26 is a fine wax but the cheaper Collinite 845 blows it away, far away:)
Oh, mush Easter it use too over the #26.

Where do get Collinite #845 that is
priced cheaper than Meguiar's #26?

Shoot...
Even when buying it @ AGO's store,
Collinite #845 costs ~ $2.00 more!

I like #26 liquid, I love #26 paste. But if I am going to top Collinite #845 insulator wax I like using Collinite #476 super double coat which is an excellent paste wax for the money also.

It's cheaper being a bottle of 845 will last much longer than the yellow wax
Two very small drops of the 845 is enough to do half of the hood, plus the 845 last longer so you don't have to apply it as much as the #26 wax.
I've used both, I give a slight edge to the #26 over the 845 when it comes done to shine but I top the 845 so I get 5-6 months of protection.

The 26 is more of a cosmetic wax. It has very little ability to protect against bird bombs, bug splats and water etching.

Can Collinite be purchased locally at all? I would love to try it, but the shipping brings the cost way up.

How close are you to one of the Advance Auto Parts stores in Casper or Cheyenne?
Any Marine/Boating stores in your area?

The AAP stores will always order it for you,
if they don't have it in stock.

Casper is 150 miles, and Cheyenne is 320 miles

Yes there is a boating store in town, or used to be anyway.

See, that's where I look at 845 more like a sealant than 26. M26 is absolutely made for looks over durability. With that being said, M26 will always be the last thing on a vehicle where they want ONLY the best shine. Best thing for weekend car shows yet! ;)

Back in the day I had great results with Duragloss #111 topped with #26 on my white Mustang.

I believe that yellow wax has been tested and has the best reflective or glow properties of all the waxes. I have used it, I love it on black, however the protection lasts until you walk away from it. I have 845 on my black car now, applies super easy, removes easy and has good durability.

it's what it is... most use it for short protection and gloss. its not 845, or blackfire, etc. I do use to to top my sealant, and 845. ill apply a coat about very 2-3 weeks.
