Meguires g110v2

For what its worth after I changed my power cord myself, I havent had any issues. Besides the cord, its a solid machine.

Good to know since we were in the middle of a car when it went down on Sunday morning...had to go to Wallyworld and buy another one to finish the job. Now we'll have a PC and a Meguires. There is still one issue that bothers me...but if that does become a problem after warranty there is a quick fix that will keep the machine running...AG did a great job of handling the problem and sent me a PC...should be set for a while.

After reading this thread, my Meg's DA has me worried. Granted, I havn't logged many hours with it yet, and it has run perfect so far, but it bothers me that some people are experiencing issues with it.

I was thinking about getting a GG6 as a backup, and might just do it now. I like the lifetime warranty. Sure, it may not have the "uuumph" that some others do, but used properly, I'm sure it does just fine. But so far, my meg's is doing good.

Would love a Flex, but finances don't allow it right now.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. I got my Megs to be my primary DA. I always have a backup tool for both rotary and DA. My backup is my UDM. It had been giving me issues and a brush replacement seemed to help. Now, the armature is shot. So, I took my Megs to an electric motor repair guy I use and asked him to examine the cord. (I have a V2 I got a few months ago). He said it looked perfect and re-inforced how very important it is to NOT bend the cord at the base when putting it away.
In my case, I'm going to order the Flex 3401 and use it as my primary and keep the Megs as my secondary. What I do on my details is keep the smaller backing plate on the 2ndary machine so you don't have to switch the plates (faster to change machines).

As long as your Meguires is under warranty I wouldn't worry about it. If you have a problem with it you can get a new one at Walmart and when you send the defective one back get the GG6 in it's place. That would save you from investing in a backup until you have to.
If it's out of warranty you may want a back up...although there is a fix on here for the cord issue...if you have a problem with the brush screw threads you can keep the machine going...

That's only if you're lucky enough to live close to one of the only 5% of Walmarts that are carrying the G110.
