Melt and re-pour Carnauba paste wax

I have been saving nearly empty cans of wax since the early 70's
I used to use Harly Wax and when I had two mostly empty can I would melt them and pour them into the best looking can. And sometimes I would throw in other brands of nuba at the same time. Always came out great, never separated or cracked.

Just recently did the same thing with Fuzion. Melted and added a couple of nearly empty small cans to my large can. When that runs out I will send in the big can for my free refill.
Didn't harm the Fuzion to be re-melted either.

David,

I get bored at home and do a little experiment today.
I poured some Blackfire Wet Diamond New Formula paint sealant (mayb 1oz) into a tin of old 3M 39526 Paste Wax (maybe 9.5oz). The tin is in boiling water now and I am not sure what will come out. I took some photos and will post them after this is done.

I got bored at home last night and did a little experiment.

I took out an used tin of 3M 39526 paste wax with roughly 9-9.5oz left (estimated), poured some Blackfire Wet Diamond 2012 formula roughly 0.5-1oz (estimated).
If you read the post by A4 1.8tqm found here: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/25110-melt-re-pour-carnauba-paste-wax.html , you probably understand why I decided to mix these 2 products: adding polycharger to paste wax may soften the wax.

I boiled the wax wanting to melt and mix them to see how will it turn out. Took some photos with my Sony Ericsson phone as I couldnt find my camera so sorry for the crappy image quality... We will rejoin after the images:

Today's experiment:

Add a few drops of BFWD:

Add a little bit more:

I opened the tin lid when it was hot. The mixture turned into a bluish clear liquid but sorry I did not take a photo because I do not want the solvents to escape.

Cooled mixture this morning:

For those who used the 3M paste wax you probably know that the wax is cream colored with vanilla scent and consistency is on the harder side.
The finished product look a bit "bluish tint" than the original wax (sorry the phone camera isnt capturing it). It still smell like vanilla but also with a slight hint of BFWD smell. I swirled my finger on the mixed wax. It quickly melt onto the finger. I have yet to try the wax more but a quick test drive on the tin's lid indicated the mixed wax wipes on and buff off streak free easier than the original 3M wax.

Did you ever use this wax? pretty neat creation.

I've got an 18oz can of Collinite 476s that I will try this with. I hate the little three inch opening this can has. As soon as I can find a suitable container, I'm going for it.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
