Can it be followed up with a paste wax? Is it even necessary? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I have some that I bought 2 years ago. It is very slick after the application, but I find it doesn't last very long at all. I still need to use up what I have left. I follow it up with a coat of Collinite 476 and that combo looks great and protects. I wouldn't mind trading the remainder of what I have, I prefer to use DG stuff now. Hope that helps.

This is not a true Menzerna product. Just their name is used here.

I've used it and it gives one of the slickest finishes I've ever felt........for about 2 hours. Very poor durability. Maybe two coats is is the key.

:whs:i totally agree
fmj is probably the poorest lsp i have ever used
as well as expensive
i threw my $39 bottle in the trash!!

I was in the market for FMJ. As far as the not a true Menzerna product I read that in these forums as well, however on another forum I read that it is a product mfg by Menzerna. Since we are on the FMJ topic, is Pinnacle Souveran Paste more durable? I have read that it also does not have much in the way of durability.

If you hv FMJ and polycharger combine them for more durability. I am one of the few that had pretty good durability with this product. HGAS also worked great after washes but some say it streaks.
DG105 is cheaper and more durable if you are in the market for a sealant.

Pinnacle Souveran paste is a beauty wax and designed for shows. It can be kept up for several weeks using a Pinnacle wash and qder.

FMJ is a paint sealant, not a wax. It falls off rather quickly in slickness but sure it protects a little longer overall. It is NOT a Menzerna product as noted, it is a relabeled product from CMA that was allowed (authorized) by Menzerna to use name on bottle. There is a little warning on bottle of note too ...

I will have to agree the slickness is unmatched at first but its durability sucks.I have now gone back to caranubas and do not care if i wax once a week.I have to admit i love pinnacle souveran even though i have to apply twice a month.

:whs:you can buy alot of duragloss 105 for the price of fmj
and its substantially more durable!

and the shelf life is much better with 105. my biggest beef with fmj is that it can clot and become trash much faster than any sealant i have purchased.

wow, big surprise there, definitely wasnt expecting that at all. i guess well see what happens. hehe i got my pc for christmas along with green, orange, white, and grey pads. that and some ip, glaze, and acrylic jacket. im about to order some bonnets and a leveling pad and some pad care goodies to tide me over till spring, then ill pick up some fp and some sort of lsp since im undecided as of now. fmj and polycharger might be in my future but ill have to see what happens.

PC'ing FMJ helps it lots BUT it's expensive as it is. Adding PC to it makes it just too expensive and there are other products that you don't have to mix that will give the same results.

I put it on my wifes pickup truck. Still slick after 4 months.

i have found fmj to be the worst sealant of all time
its slick at first because it's oily
the first wash removes it
no durability what so ever
who ever makes it needs to back to the drawing board:cheers:
