Menzerna 400, 4000, 4500

I have worked on Honda Accord that is 8 years old and never polished. Resulsts where perfect. I've use fg400 with Menzerna wool pad to get rid of rds and hevy swirls and after that pf4000 on Menzerna black waffle pad. After FG400 I have some hollograms left but with pf4000 finish was perfect.

I have a 2014 Black Accord with very soft paint. Tends to get usual minor swirls spider webbing etc. I usually wash it now with ONR. I've used blackfire's SRC with very good results, but I've been looking at Menzerna products and want to see if I can get a little more shine. ( I also have white BMW harder paint)

So would you recommend getting 400 and finishing with the 4500? Or am I better off with 4000 and the 4500? Or will the 4500 alone be acceptable?

Thanks

I had a black 2012 TL FG2500 with an orange LC flat pad followed by SF4500 with a white pad did a marvelous job on that car. I even got great result the second time with just FG2500 on a white pad followed by SF4500 on a blue pad. You really need to test different pads and products. But whichever one you choose the car will sparkle.

I have a black 2009 Rav4...

I've used Wolfgang Duo, Megs Ultimate , Megs 105 and the swirls were not completely gone.
Then came the Mer 400 and 4500....WOW..put the other stuff to shame and into the garbage...
It will be my goto stuff!!

Aw man.... I would have taken the megs stuff....

The differences are ever so slight...but...4500 especially on a dark vehicle makes it pop way beyond the 400 can.

Agree, very much so, But the 400 gets you very close that working the 4000/4500 is icing on the cake. It's really hard to beat that combo, of course that's only my opinion.

Peace,

Darrin

Guys isnt 400 too aggressive for a newer car (2014) with soft paint?

I would say yes, when PF2500 or PF1500 might do the job. Some detailers are trying to save time and not clear coat.

I wouldn't reach for FG400 on soft Honda paint unless it was a last resort but let me clarify why...i'm using a rotary! Having said that, i don't think i'd even want FG400 with a DA machine on soft paints. I'd be surprised if 4000 on a white LC pad and my DA didn't level out some light swirls on soft Honda paint. As was emphasized earlier, a few test passes with very good lighting should tell you.

Now, that's not to say FG400 is to be avoided. Just saying i would be surprised but if i was it would be a pleasant surprise!

I would, however, take it willingly to white BMW paint.
