I just purchased Menzerna 2500 and 3500 (new names/bottles). Are these both diminishing-type abrasives? Or is the 3500 (old 4000) an SMAT-type of abrasive?

The reason I ask- I'm wondering if 3500 can be stopped at any time in the buffing cycle like UP or if it needs to be buffed all the way through its cycle.

Is the 3500 considered a swirl remover? Or is it strictly a gloss enhancer?

Thanks!

I believe all Merzerna polishes are DAT (diminishing).

SF-3500 (formerly SF-4000) is a fine polish. It'll remove light imperfection but its main purpose is gloss.

All DAT technology.

Needs to be buffed all the way through its cycle.

More of a swirl remover. 3800 would be more of a gloss enhancer.

Some Menzerna abrasives are said to be:
"Agglomerate Abrasive Technology" (AAT).
