I am using Menzerna Final Finish II to polish out light surface scratches and since I have had this product for a while now, I cannot remember the grit removal designation for this product as it has very light cutting power. Could someone confirm if it is for 1500-2000 grit defects or something other? Thank you.

I have a bottle of what's called Final Finish with no number designation - it's an orange and blue label - and on the back it says 1500-2000. I can not find this polish anywhere online and there's nothing like it on any menzerna chart that I've ever seen.

This company is infuriating! Constantly changing names, formulas, and properties. The bottle was bought only a couple of years ago.

This is what the label looks like:

And the place I got the image called it Final POLISH! Not Finish. This is another problem. I see that all over.

So I know how abrasive it is but not how it finishes.

I would recommend calling Menzerna USA at:

Explain your issue and ask them for assistance.

My local body shop uses 3M Perfect-it products and I was given a sample of 3M Perfect-it rubbing compound #06085 to take out 1200 grit marks. Something that Menzerna's PG1000 polishing compound will not even touch on the new hard clear coats on new vehicles. Auto Geek sell's 3M complete line of products.

My advice before buying any of these products is to contact the technical support representative at the respective manufacturer, explain your problem, and ask for their recommendation. DO NOT RELY ON ADVICE FROM THE DEALER AS THEY CANNOT BE EXPECTED TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE ON ALL OF THE PRODUCTS THAT THEY SELL.

Overall, Menzerna's products do a good job for me, but cannot remove deeper scratches from the new hard clear coats regardless of what their advertising says. I know because I tried and failed. At which point I went to the body shop for advice.

Also a wool pad will cut quicker than an orange foam pad but will introduce additional marks which must be removed in the next polishing step.

I hope this helps.
