Menzerna PO85RD as a paint cleaner?

Hi, I'm newly registered but have been reading the forum for some time. Thanks to all for all the help you have provided me over the years.

I am wondering if anyone uses Menzerna 85RD as a paint cleaner? Does it have good cleaning abilities? Will it remove previously applied sealants? I have not used it before, but I just got some and want to try it out. I'm not going to be doing any paint correction on my car until after the winter. (I will then try out Power Finish followed by 85RD.) But I'm wondering if I could use 85RD as a prep for LSP before my pre-winter detail? I want clean paint, but also shiny. Not anything too abrasive. Planning on using UPGP topped with Collinite 845 this winter.

Would using a finishing pad on a PC be the way to go with 85RD? What speed is best?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question. Just looking to cut out a step if possible/advisable. Thanks for any advice.
 
it will clean the paint in the sense of you will be removing the lsp. however you will then have to use ipa or prep sol or a paint cleaner specifically to insure that your UPGP bonds to the surface since 85rd will leave oils on the paint.
 
You can also use Dodo juice lime prime. It's a paint cleaner with micro-abrasives. It works pretty good! But it won't remove anything more than a fine swirl or 2.

What if I followed 85rd with Prima Amigo? It is supposed to be a glaze that can be followed with a sealant. Would that remove the oils left by 85rd?

Or am I just making this way too complicated? LOL! I have some products I want to use, but maybe they don't really mix together well this way.
 
I would just do a quick IPA wipe down after 85rd. Its easy and fast and you know that the paint is clean for a glaze or LSP.
 
I always rewash after polishing. This will get all the dust and excess polish out of the cracks, plus remove oils from 85RD. Apply your LSP after drying.

WOW... another good step I can add after a good polish. Im the MAN Do you actually wash with soap or is it more of a rinse down?

THe Amigo will work just fine as it is a paint cleaner as well
