Does the Menzerna power lock paint sealant need the same 12 hour cure time in dry conditions as does the WGDGPS?
 
Any wax or sealant needs time to out gas. It couldn't hurt to wait! You could probally get away with 8 hours. I haven't found any instrustions anywhere on how long to let it sit(haze/dry) or stand before re-application.
 
generally yes ... sealants need time to bond and cure completely. They work differently than a wax.
 
From what I understand (so don't take this as THE word), sealants bond to your paint and wax just kind of sits on top of it. Otherwise, if you are looking at getting Powerlock, DO IT! Once you let it dry to a haze (anywhere from fifteen minutes to an hour) it is a breeze to wipe off. No pressure, just slow back and forth motions. Remember, slow and steady wins the race.
 
^^i agree, went on easy and after letting it dry to a haze it came off super easy. as a bonus it looks great on my charcoal beige metallic f150,even better now covered in liquid sovereign.
 
You'll love the Power Lock..one of the slickest finishes I've ever felt
I always wait at least 12 hours when layering sealant.
 
Menzerna Power Lock along with BFWD are my favorite sealants. MPL gives a super slick, glossy/carnauba like look and the removal might be the easiest I've ever experienced.

If you are into "slickness"...give it a try. As more reviews pop up we'll see about durability.
 
Thanks for the input. I assumed it would need some cure time but, you know what happens when you assume.

I just applied Powerlock on my IS350 a few days ago. It was slick, but I still give the slickness edge to BFWD & FMJ. I'll find out in a week or two whether it will hold the slickness after one or two carwashes.

For me, the slickness of MPL was equal to BFWD...but as you said let's see what a couple washes does.
