Hi NOOB here I just got my GG DA yesterday along with some Menz sf4000 & sf4500 & the PLock. I would like to know if any of these products stain plastic or rubber if you get any on them. Also should I tape up the head and tailights This will be my first time using a DA so dont want to screw up. I have always done everything by hand but thanks to this forum and seeing the results you can achieve with a DA I figured it was time to jump in. I'am nervous as hell though. But reading all the topics in the autogeek forums definitely gives me confidence. Well I certainly appreciate any replys thanks.

Not sure about Powerlock as I haven't used it. Those two polishes shouldn't stain trim. I haven't had any issues with them.

But taping will be your best friend for polishing work.

Thanks for the replys. Yes I guess I will just tape off everything. Better to be safe than sorry. And your right hernandez PL is safe for everything trim, lights etc.. thanks again.

I did notice staining of trim with Menzerna SF4500. Power Lock will not stain trim. Taillights and headlights are such a small surface compared to the rest of the vehicle, it'll take virtually no additional time. Why not protect them with it?

you could hold the orbital in one spot for 10 min with those products you bought and do no damage at all...that's why we use orbitals.....

Thanks everyone for the replys. Just wasnt sure being a first timer with a DA.

Thanks for the support guys! I'm sorry, I actually just meant the last time I posted in this thread not all of AG. I love this forum!:xyxthumbs:

Me too!
What would you recommend was meant for Pysnx (how is that pronounced btw?)

What would you recommend for taillights?

Wouldn't IPA be if you wete purposely applying PL to the taillights, but if you accidentally got them on . Would it not classify as no harm no foul?

Im referring to your statement about putting pl adds more protection.
Not to the TS about accidentally getting on trim or plastics

Sent from my SCH-I605 using AG Online

Its ok everyone I have found the answer about PL. It actually came from your search hernandez Greg from DI answered the question that you can apply PL to paint, head & tailites, And I believe wheels. As it is a sealant I was not overly concerned about PL. I guess i should have not even put that in the original thread. Sorry noob mistake. I was more worried about the polishes mentioned in reguards to staining of trim I do plan to tape off as much as possible but was just wondering as a just in case answer. Thanks again everyone for your help P.S I can already see this is going to be an expensive addiction.
