I did it for the customer, but I've heard of this other detailer and see his cars lined up for sale. Now I know his work. The funny part about this detail is that the customer hired me to extract and remove stains from the interior.Phenomenal work! But wait...did you do this job for the detailer who got it at auction or the person he sold it too? If the first i hope he paid attention to how it is done correctly!
Nice. What pad did you use?
Menzerna lines especially the polishing and finishing compounds are what made me turn away from Meguiar's, they cut and finish glossy. They are my go to products though I have other brands too for that rare jobs.
I'm in the market for a new finishing polish to try to follow up FG400. I keep hearing great things about the SF4000 and the SF4500. On paper the sf4000 is supposed to have a little bit more cut and like BobbyG mentioned I guess works well as a one step? I've heard SF4500 does not work well as a one step?
I have yet to try either but would like to order one or the other. Anyone else have some insight as to the benefits of one polish over the other? My needs right now are pretty much what's going to give me the best finish!
Thanks!
I am a big time Menzerna user and have a bit of experience with them. With that said I would surely grab SF4000 to finish up after FG400 as SF4000 has more pull than SF4500 and will finish out incredibly well. For me, SF4500 is reserved for extracting the maximum amount of gloss from the panel. This is of course after the panel has been polished with SF4000.
Here is an article I wrote on maximizing your results using the 3401, Hybrid pads, and Menzerna polishes.
