Menzerna SF-4000

Great. Can talk a bit more about what you've done?

I try to use this polish always I can (and test spot allows).

Looking forward to hear,

Awesome picture (and results), indeed.

I'm seeing a Flex down there hehehe

Wow!! Beautiful!!! I just did the trunk of my 2013 Mustang GT with Menzerna SF 4500. Menzerna stuff is great!!!! Again, beautiful pic! What a night and day difference

Hey guys, thanks. I washed and Clayragged , then used my Flex 3401 with the SF-4000. I then used the XMT glaze and Collinite 915 before getting it back to the customer. This shot is just after the SF-4000 was applied on the left side. A local detailer bought this car at auction to flip it but his buffer trails /holograms were allover the paint. It looked as if his buffer was bouncing. The customer was happy so it made me feel good.

Phenomenal work! But wait...did you do this job for the detailer who got it at auction or the person he sold it too? If the first i hope he paid attention to how it is done correctly!

I did it for the customer, but I've heard of this other detailer and see his cars lined up for sale. Now I know his work. The funny part about this detail is that the customer hired me to extract and remove stains from the interior.

I just wanted to add that I'm glad you guys are there and we have a place to come togeather on AG'S threads here. Most folks I know would like the clear coat improvement on the surface level, but I know you guys have the appreciation I have for doing the job right.

Menzerna SF-4000 offers a perfect balance between cut and gloss making it nearly ideal for a 1-step solution....Gorgeous! :props:

Sure, I used the LC Hydro tech pads, just the Orange polishing pad in this case. The XMT glaze has been a pleasure to work with too. Hey Bobby, thanks! I know your a Menzerna fan too. It has been so quick and reliable that I added a "buff out" detail to my services menu last week.

Menzerna lines especially the polishing and finishing compounds are what made me turn away from Meguiar's, they cut and finish glossy. They are my go to products though I have other brands too for that rare jobs.

You can definitely achieve the same results using Meguiars products, especially with M205.

But it takes a higher skill level to achieve the same results...but it can certainly be done.

That looks fantastic. I wonder if the price that dealer is going to charge on the "flip" just went up? I bet so and I bet you'll be getting repeat business....Really well done.

looks great! I love menzerna polish: FG400=my life saver :)

I'm in the market for a new finishing polish to try to follow up FG400. I keep hearing great things about the SF4000 and the SF4500. On paper the sf4000 is supposed to have a little bit more cut and like BobbyG mentioned I guess works well as a one step? I've heard SF4500 does not work well as a one step?

I have yet to try either but would like to order one or the other. Anyone else have some insight as to the benefits of one polish over the other? My needs right now are pretty much what's going to give me the best finish!
Thanks!

I am a big time Menzerna user and have a bit of experience with them. With that said I would surely grab SF4000 to finish up after FG400 as SF4000 has more pull than SF4500 and will finish out incredibly well. For me, SF4500 is reserved for extracting the maximum amount of gloss from the panel. This is of course after the panel has been polished with SF4000.

Here is an article I wrote on maximizing your results using the 3401, Hybrid pads, and Menzerna polishes.

Thanks! I'm assuming the gloss is still pretty close between those 2?

Excuse for this question again, but aren't Menz SF4000/SF4500 both a combination of SMAT, and DAT? Thought I read this once?

I love SF4000. However, I wish I could view that picture on my tapatalk app but it is very blurry. It's been doing that lately.
