Menzerna Single Stage

Hello,

Is there a Menzerna compound for polishing that can be used for single stage paint? For removing scratches and oxidation.

What speed should I use for the suggested Menzerna compound using a Rupes 21 polisher?

Yes, I saw the single stage paint article using the Meguiars.

Personally I usually prefer wool and a rotary for single stage paint. What kind of vehicle is this exactly??
 
I've used pf2500 and fg400 on single stage with good results, I worked them pretty slow at around speed 4

Will a Menzerna PO 91E finished with Menzerna Final Finish 3000 work?

I have not done a single stage paint yet and this is the reason of the questions.

I used them a little before moving on to other polishes. The PO91E seemed to dust quite a bit and didn’t have a lot of cut compared to M105, which I later switched to. I was polishing a Cadillac when I was using it so I’m not sure how it would do on softer paint.

I can’t complain about the dusting too much as it seemed to keep the pad cleaner by throwing spent polish all over my garage.

The FF3000 seemed to finish down nicely for me, but I still went to M205 and achieved the same results with less working time. The working time difference is related to Menzerna being DAT vs M205 being SMAT. I’d still be okay with using it if need be.

So that’s my limited experience. It was on BC/CC GM paint. No clue how SS paint would be. If you already have the polishes, it’s worth giving them a fair shot. If you’ve not bought anything yet, I’d be inclined to pick up something a bit newer.
 
I work primarily on single stage paint systems. There isn't a compound or polish that ONLY works on modern clear coats IME.

For the most part, if you're working on single stage paint it's likely either enamel or urethane.

Generally, polishes and compounds that are more lubricated tend to perform best on these types of paint systems. I would urge you to do some testing with a foam polishing pad on a standard 8mm DA and a polish like HD Polish+ or M205 just to get a feel for the paint. Many single stage paints can be incredibly soft and porous. I really don't think it's a good idea to whip out the rotary and a wool pad simply because it's a single stage paint.

Keep in mind, just because a single stage paint systems are generally an older technology overall, that doesn't mean you have to use outdated abrasives polishes and twisted wool pads on rotary polishers that don't go below 1,500rpms. This is all just my opinion!
