Menzerna SIP as a one step?

Did the same thing again yesterday on my mother in laws Honda Element covered in swirls. The paint is that dark rusty orange color. Did the whole car with SIP and a orange pad with my friends help. Car came out beautiful, but this time I wanted to follow with 106fa to see if it made any difference. I masked off half the hood and hit it with 106fa and a white pad. Then we took the car outside in the sun and we could not see any improvement whatsoever. We spent 5 min looking at it from all angles with no luck. Maybe my SIP bottle was labeled wrong? It finishes just like my Menzerna Power finish.

Gloss is very subjective and if SIP is worked properly with the right pad, machine and user. It will be very hard to se a difference in gloss even it you have used a finishing polish, I am now talking on a light coloured paint. If the paint is dark, then you will get a more glossy/reflective/deeper paint if you follow up with a finishing polish.

I do many 1 steppers with products like SIP and similar polishes. A favourite is SIP with a finishing pad, nice cut and it finishes off very nice.

This is after Scholl Concepts S17(similar to SIP) and a black waffled finishing pad with AEG rotary, followed by 2 IPA wipedowns and LSP

IMO I got a pretty glossy finish but it´s hard to catch it on picture since it´s kind of hard to take photos of this colour (Lexus pearl white)
Tried with some finishing polishes and I got no better gloss. So I decided to only to a 1 step polish.
