Menzerna

I sometimes find that SF4500 does not have enough pull to clear up the paint after FG400. In most of my correction work I always chase FG400 with SF4000 to guarantee being able to clear up what FG400 may not have. This has always given me the results I need even on both of my Jet Black 3 series.

Now SF4500 will add more to the paint after SF4000 if you are chasing every last ounce of gloss.

I remember mike saying that he's never had SF4000 fail at finishing out perfect on any paint. I think for most paint systems that sounds like the product to use. Maybe 4500 if you're trying to burnish the paint on your garage queen or something.

Menzerna PF-2500 is one product to definitely have in your Menzerna arsenal. It just does a lot and you get then get by maybe with a 2 step in stead of 3 step polish. CarPro reflect has now offered a serious challenge to SF4500 in the bringing out the gloss department. Anyway just used PF2500 on a black truck that I thought was going to be a 3 stepper. Turned out only to use 2 steps.

I have FG-400, SI-1500, PF-2500, SF-4000, and SF-4500 in the menzerna polish arsenal. Use to have PG-1000 but it just dusted so badly I gave it away.

I've heard some say they use FG400 for one step polishes, what do you guys think of that? For my current one steps I will use Meg PRC and follow that up with a sealant for added protection. Would PF 2500 have more cut then the PRC? One step corrects are my most popular upgrade, but i would like to have a bit more correction ability. I've tried 205 but it just really added gloss.

Depends on the particular paint you are working with...

I used it as a one step on this metallic black bmw paint. The paint was particularly hard. I did not notice any marring, but just to be safe, I taped off a square section in the middle of the hood and polished it and then inspected it under several light sources and noticed absolutely no difference, therefore I deemed the FG400 was leaving an LSP ready finish.

Mike Phillips debuted this product with an article using it as a one-step process...

Again, this is why test spots are crucial :)

I tested out FG400 for the first time today on my dd hood with LC orange pad, it's awesome stuff, really impressed. I did follow up with Wolfgang Finishing Glaze with an LC white pad as I was testing that too. And the two were an amazing combo as the Wolfgang is a co developed AG/Menzerna polish. Topped off with WG Sealant 3.0. Super slick, love this stuff, this is my new go to sealant.

The first pic is after polishing with FG400, the second is after the trio. Keep in mind this is a 2003 Xterra non garage kept with ten years of exsposure in the Florida sun. This is one heck of a trio of products!

PF2500 (203) and PRC (151) come in at 5 and 4, respectively, on the AG aggressiveness chart.

As far as your first question

IMO many detailers are using this product strictly as a time saver in their favor, while sacrificing the customer's CC. Notice I said many, not all.

Scott, I believe you to be a rising star not only on these forums, but in the detailing world in general.
