This past spring I detailed my entire E350, but had issues removing a scratch someone generously left down the side of the car. I have researched the MB ceramic clear, and have been looking at the Menzerna lineup. What do you recommend for product/pad/technique? I will be using a Meguiar's DA. (scratch is in the clear and not down to metal)

Dumb question, but I take it your Mercedes has the Ceramiclear paint on it? You’re certain of that, right?

Menzerna leaves behind polishing oils so I always follow with a product that removes them. The old PO85RD ( my understanding is that it is SF 3800now) was my favorite finishing polish. Even after removing those oils it really left a great finish.

I do a ton of Mercedes, I treat them all the same. Griot’s Boss creams work excellent on ceramic or the so called standard paint. I can assure you when it was done at the dealership, they make no distinction.

Menz FG400 to cut that hard Merc paint. I prefer using Meguires microfiber cutting pads for tough jobs.
