Something i really enjoy when detailing is playing around with pad and product combo’s. Don’t get stuck into using certain pad and product combo’s out of convenience, play around a little and I’m sure you will be pleasantly surprised with the results.

Whilst I’ve always been a big fan of meguiars compounds and polishes, I seem to reach for Menzerna products a little too often now, lol.

PF2500 is considered to be a mild polish, but the results I was able to achieve coupled with Lake Country Tangerine Orange pads, well I’ll let the pics do the talking. Being a daily drive, the owner wasn’t after a near flawless finish, the decision was made not to chase the removal of the RIDS non the less he was very happy with the outcome...

LSP of choice was Menzerna Powerlock.

Nice job - that thing was hammered! SLK55 AMG is one of the three vehicles I'm looking at next... (SL550 and S550 being the other options).

Great work, don't worry about that RIDS, they are nothing compared to the finish you've left. Looking awesome.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys. How a car owner lets his paint get to this stage is beyond me.

Ive been for a spin in a slk55 amg a few times, that car is insane!

Looks great! I'm surprised that you got those results with the tangerine pad. I thought for sure you'd have to get more aggressive with the way that thing looked before!
