Mercedes SLK32 AMG

This was a wash and interior job with more of an emphasis on the interior. The owner kept using the same detailers until he realized that they weren’t cleaning the interior but only adding greasy product on top of old greasy product and the build up really took away from the interior.

His main concerns were the door panels, leather seats and the steering wheel. The inside finished with a nice matte look that he had been wanting. No more oil/shiny door panels and seats. The exterior got a full wash, exhaust was polished up a little bit and the paint was topped with a coat of Meg. Quik Wax. All in all it turned out nice and the owner was happy with it.

Products used

Foam Cannon
Various brushes
Meg APC+ (at different dilutions)
Meg Body Shine (diluted to assist with drying/door jambs)
Meg Gold Class
Meg #40 (tires and interior panels)
Lexol Ph Balanced Leather Cleaner
Wolfgang Leather Conditioner
Meg Quik Wax

Im sure a few other products have slipped my mind. On to the pictures…

My cousin had one of these AMGs. It was quick!

Was all that dust from smoking? That inside looked nasty. Great job on the clean up, especially the seams around door handles and the seat bottoms.

I usually vacuum, then get my air gun in there to blow all the junk out and vacuum again.

My first guess was that he was a smoker, or maybe frequently had a passenger that smokes. He wasnt smoking when I met him and I didnt see any ashes or burns so I'm not sure.

That interior was nasty. You could definitely tell that the previous detailer was using oily products. All that dust and dirt seems to be caked on really nice.

Great work, car looks 100% better!

Great job . That was definitely some nasty interior.

Car looks great for sure, seems like maybe the owner doesn't take very good car of the car between details.

Nice save Stephan. Looks like they were parked outside a softball game for a double header :dunno:

Thanks for all the kinds word. We get so caught up in paint corrections that its nice to have a trashed interior to fix every now and then.

In reality most clients would prefer to see their interior flawless over the condition on their paint. Its much easier to sell a full interior job then a paint correction IMO.

how can someone have such a beautiful car, and allow it to be so filthy...
I hope you added in the "stupid/careless customer" fee...
