Just got a Metabo!

What do the numbers on the Metabo correlate to in terms of RPM?

On my Hitachi it actually says the RPMs.... :(

mail it to me and I will assess for you properly !

If my memory is not playing games on me Metabo does have a sticker with RPM numbers on it.

Says the professor to the retard...... Thanks, its small and on the side ahahah.... :o

Im used to the Hitachi where its right in your face! Also I dont like that the speed is on the side.

I DO LOVE the lack of the feather trigger, I hated pushing the button then the trigger on the Hitachi to keep the speed going....

metabo speed settings:
1 – 700 rpm
2 – 1100 rpm
3 – 1500 rpm
4 – 1800 rpm
5 – 2000 rpm
6 – 2200 rpm

Thanks Gary, I should of looked a little harder... haha

The Festool 150 is next....

hahaha funny but I did the same thing, it takes a little getting used to as adjusting the speed setting but after a while you will be abel to simply just hear the change in speed. I basically just keep in on dial 3 and bring it down or up as required.

I've been looking at the Festool 150 but still not sure about it, I'm quite pleased with my Metabo and I got the Cyclo too...but maybe :D

I'm looking forward on hearing what your thoughts are on the Metabo FMINUS.

... and I got the Cyclo too...
Once one gets DA that is significantly more powerful than PC and can cover bigger surface faster does one need Cyclo anymore? That is a question I am pondering myself because if I can not find use for my Cyclo anymore after that time will come to sell it. Festool was letting me work much faster than with a PC and while Cyclo's "vibrations" are way more pleasant than PC's Festool's are still way more pleasant than Cyclo's, especially in random orbit mode. In random orbit mode it is like "Vibrations? What vibrations? I have been working whole day with it and I am not feeling anything". Benefit of design.

I would have to agree with you about the Cyclo there ZoranC. The poor thing just sits there on the shelf collecting dust. I want to use it some more but it just takes to long and well to be honest I favor my lady Metabo. I'll hold on to it for ever though, as I know that it will come in handy for certain details.

As for the Festool, I'm not completely sold on it. Perhaps one of those tools that I should have purchased first rather then later. I can do with out it as I'm quite efficient with my Metabo but perhaps at a later date it would be a great addition to the collection :D

Zoran has a Festool for sale Nica... Im still debating over it... I have waaay to much stuff. Im even starting to detail on the side now for kicks. I have 6 S2000 this week I have to do!
Also I have a new car coming in Nov, so I gotta save my $$ for that...... :righton:

Oh okay, good to know in case I simply just want to get it just for kiks hahahaha.

So your detailing on the side right on brotha :awesome::awesome:that's good. I'm doing the same just one here and there but actually things have gone so well that I actually have to turn down vehicles...either that or every weekend I have a vehicle to detail which is fine by me. The more I do the better my skills will get :righton:

So new car...mmmm...no way did you find the NSX you were looking for? Man that would be saweeeettt!!!

Look forward to your up coming detail and your new ride bro  oh and I agree with Gary, new ride = more detailing products hahahahaha

I am off for one more week, so after that I can only do one car a week. On my saturdays haha.

Didnt find the NSX yet... :(

The new car will be German, have a "3" in it, and its not a Bimmer, and flat Orange to contrast with my Laguna Seca.

Go figure THAT one out!

Here's an NSX from up at the Sebring track a couple of weeks ago. Chin Motorsports who put on the event had 3 NSX's they were running on the track that day.

Very nice car. One of my parent's neighbor had copper NSX and just sold it a few months ago. I wish I would have known he was selling it. I would have brought if the price was right. Now he has a red Noble.
