Well the wife bought me one for Christmas so I figured id make her kid/dog carrying honda pilot my 1st customer. Well I love the darn thing. I mounted it in the front of my garage so reaching both sides would be a breeze (she got me the one with 24 ft of hose). It's also not as loud as my old shop vac and definitely an improvement with power.

Aside from vacuuming I switched over to the blow and cleaned the floors in my garage by blowing it all out. Which being a neat freak I like that versatility.

I guess the only con would be price but if you want to deliver quality results you have to pay.

thanks for the review. I, too was planning on getting the 4hp one and not the master blaster due to my budget.

I was just discussing this with a friend who has one also. I have mine for a while now. I am very pleased with it and it has run flawless. The smaller diameter and superb flexibility of the hose really make it a great tool along with the power of it.

On a cheesy note I thing people are intrigued my equipment we use that they don't see in stores on a daily basis. A vacuum like that the masses don't know what it is and they believe they are getting more for their buck.

Metropolitan has been selling residential and commercial vacuums for more than 30 years.

Just because they now are also selling vacuums online, through other "types" of re-sellers...
I'd still venture to say the masses are well aware of this vacuum manufacturer and its products.

^^ I agree. I was familiar with Metropolitan Vacuums long before I ever realized the paint reconditioning industry even existed! Metro makes solid products it appears.

For me, I cant see going down in horsepower and spending more money. My home depot has 5hp is compact and does a great job. Also, I wouldnt feel comfortable using a vac that sucks debris in then having it double as a blower.

Glad you like it though and if it works for you thats all that matters.

I own one as well and I absolutely love mine for the purpose I bought it for: compact size, quiet, and strong

Since I do mobile work out of a hatchback, I need to make for as much room as possible.

I personally never use the blower because I have the Metro Sidekick, it's also not that powerful (probably equal to the MSK) to be effective, and as easy as it is from vacuum to blower, I don't like having to adjust it.

Seems like metro makes good stuff. I own an old toro leaf blower which could use an overhaul and a shop vac which I just replaced the filter

I agree. So I pick up some extra hoses and use the for blowing purposes only.
