MF Thickness

Wax/polish removal=Cobra Edgeless. Very short nap so there is no sticky grabbing and folding under itself.
The thick fluffy ones I use for QD and final buffing.

I've noticed the same thing when drying my car with something really fluffy that it folds under. It's kind of annoying. I do like a short nap though.

i only use thick towels to wash my car, and thin towels for everything else. the thick ones feel good but they're a pain to rinse and dry

So you like thinner ones for wax/sealant/etc removal? I think that seems to be what everyone enjoys a little more, at least for what we're talking about here.

yes, i tried the edgeless towels for polish and wax removal over the last weekend. it was much more efficient at removing the products over the normal ones i used before. from now on i will use the edgeless to remove any products that are thicker than QD and clay lube

My go to LSP removal towel is the arctic white edgless/blue indigo. I use the supreme 530's for QD and buffing. I am not a fan of those thick nap towels. I did get a free thick blue microfiber from Ben in Europe, with me RBOE purchase. It's a nice towel, but only will use it for a final buff.

IMO, having too thick of a towel is not good for polish and wax removal, they tend to not have enough bite/grab. there many different microfiber towels and it's good to have a variety for different tasks...

I also agree that short nap towels are best for polish/wax removal or glass cleaning (the initial wipe). The plushers ones are best for QD'ing and ONR'ing. In my experience the plusher ones (folded into quarter size) tend to "roll' when wiping across the paint using low downward force.
