Michael Schumacher in serious condition!

Great news indeed!

I had a childhood friend that went out in his sisters BOSS 302 when he was 17, lost control, threw him out and hit is head on a 2' electrical insulator that was on the ground (like hangs from high tension poles, holding high power wires) and was in a coma for 3 months. One day he just woke up, and was fine from that point on.

Well, fine in that he had months of therapy to learn how to walk again, including legs/knee braces on both legs, but didn't suffer any long standing neurological damage. By the next year you'd never have known anything happened.

Hopefully Michael will, with the team he has around him, come through with flying colors.

This is such great news!

I really was not thinking it was gonna turn out like this with so much time gone by. I'm so glad I was wrong!

Yes, like detailkitty said, t, too, wasn't expecting much after such a prolonged period but am encouraged with this report.

Being a life long F1 fan, i have often entered the occassional bar room discussion about who was the best. Fangio vs. Senna vs. Shuey. There are valid points for all but having watched Shuey's magic at times and in more contemporary conditions, he was absolutely amazing! I'm so glad his accident didn't take him from us and i'm hoping for his eventual public appearance after therapy.

My next door neighbor is an accomplished pastry chef and spent some years in Germany. He claims to have made Shuey's wedding cake. The Mercedes cars this year have "Keep Fighting Michael" on their cars this year. Looks like he is.
