Im looking at some microfiber compounding pads. Anyone have luck with them? How do they compare to a wool compounding pad?

Nope, don't bother until you get a DA. The mechanical action of a rotary doesn't work in harmony with MF pads.I'm still using a rotary buffer but I'm in the market for a da. I've been doing some research and I think I'm ready to make the switch for most of my buffing work. So in the meantime is it not a good idea to use with the Rotary?
On a DA they work better than wool, the more longer the throw the better they work. On a Rotary, wool works best.

MF make for a much cleaner process. foam pads, especially cutting pads, can be a mess.
Mike why don't you like microfiber pads? I get great results using Meg's microfiber pads and CarPro Essence. What would you suggest to get the max cut with Essence. Have you tried any of the new Buff and Shine blue heavy cut foam pads? Menzerma products don't seem to play well with Rupes pads and I have been using Meg's microfiber pads with good results, but you are the guru of all things detailing and would appreciate your input on what is best.
I'm waiting for my g21 griots . In the mean time I try a MD pad on my gg6 and wow!
