Are you having problems near the left and right corners of the windshield?
 
I rarely bother separating towels dedicated for different uses unless some of them get really dirty. I wash frequently so I'm usually not dealing with that much soiling on towels. Wax or polish residue has never made a difference to my other towels. I often wash them with hot water and dry them on regular heat even though many people frown upon that. Considering some of my towels are still soft and plush after 11+ years, I must be doing something right. I have an old style washing machine for what it's worth. It does an excellent job of cleaning microfiber towels coupled with free & clear detergent.

The way I deal with those corners is from the outside... [meaning I stand outside and reach my hand in]
I grab the dry side of my window towel and fold it tight, then firmly go up and down the corner of the windshield wiping off those streaks.
 
What's the issue with washing glass towels with others? Note that I use a very thin MF for glass, like the Opt glass towel. No issues washing it wither other stuff.

For polish/compound/wax removal towels I pre-soaking them in diluted pad cleaner. My thinking is I want all the compound/polish/wax dissolved before washing. I'll agitate a little and wring out, then wash with other towels. After this I then have only two different types to wash - good towels and grungy ones.

I also always wash twice (pre-wash setting on my washer) and rinse 3 times. No issue with any towels performing as expected.
 
Towel wise I never wash the specific glass towels that are sold for that exact purpose with anything but their own kind. I usually wash them by hand too as there simply aren't enough to toss in the washer. I do this mainly because I don't want lint on my glass towels.

That said, as a black car owner, the only truly "lint free" towels I have for detail spray use on my cars after washing are the imitation suede ones sold under the CarPro Brand. They are orange in color. These work amazingly well and I use them for removal of coatings and for detail spray use on my cars.

We love surgical hucks just for glass cleaning and have had these for years. They only touch glass and always washed together never with any other towels.

Surgical are ok. In my experience the thin glass-specific MFs are far easier to use and give the same or better results.

I don't have the lint issue others are mentioning. Other than the first time I wash or with cheap towels (ex: the Costco ones) I never see any lint from my MFs, regardless of paint color. Maybe I'm just missing it? I did see some lint from Everest towels once. Washed them again with 3x rinse and never saw lint after that.

What will that do? Maybe the other way around. My glass interior/exterior are pretty clean before putting any mf to it.
 
El thanks hey how did you handle the liquid that runs between the glass and dash, it's SO cramped?

I never use the squeegee for interior glass... And you're right, sometimes I do spray the glass, I spray the heck out of it whenever I'm doing a waterless wash.. I spray it with D114 then scrub the exterior glass with the sponge side of the squeegee, then use the other side to dry. I never spray glass cleaner onto glass, because glass cleaner contains alcohol, and alcohol has the ability to remove wax/sealant, and there's a good chance of some overspray landing on the paint.
 
Gotcha, well I even squeegee interior of front n rear glass but still learning to perfect my technique.
 
So can I use and wash towels together used for QD, wax, and sealant?

You said QD, wax and sealant..and I still wouldn't put my drying towels mixed with that load including interior glass towels.

Think cross contamination when washing mf towels.
 
What's everyone's opinion? Keep gold plush Jr for polish and compound? Or keep them for qd/wax?

they can do the job for removing polish/compound, wiping off qd's/wax and then some...
