Microrestore and Pinnacles Rejunivator make quick and easy work of MF cleaning. Otherwise you will need liquid detergents, and vinegar to try and equal their cleaning power. I give it thumbs up !!

I used it last night for the first. The MFs came out nice and clean and felt very fluffy. Much easier than trying to catch the rinse cycle with vinegar in hand. i liked it.

I agree with Killr. The MF cleaners do a great job. It is indeed worth it.

I tried some MF rejuventing wash when I first started detailing. It worked, but it was very expensive relative to regular laundry detergents.

I find Purex Free & Clear works just as well and is significantly cheaper than buying an MF specific detergent.

thanks i did check out that site and looks like there mixed apinions about it half say its great and the other half say its a waist of money . hmmm

Regardless of what you wash with, have a couple buckets handy to fill up with hot water and mix with some Liquid Tide Free and APC/Degreaser. I put my micros in buckets as such for a day or two, get's all the gunk, oils etc out of them before I wash. That way they will clean easily and the crap won't coat your washing machine. Personally I just use Tide Liquid Free and it works great and leaves towels fluffy, a little goes a long way as it foams like crazy.

I simply don't like the idea of using vinegar for MF towels. I use Pinnacle micro rejuvenator, and am very happy with it. Matter of fact I ordered a 64 oz refill on it a while ago. Never tried Microrestore.

Microfiber (Micro fibre) Towel Care:
Always wash towels as soon as possible after use, the longer they sit the more the contaminants will set do not use bleach (bleach will shorten the life of your Microfiber cloths.) Read the label on the detergent bottle and use half of what they recommend and use hot water (120oF). The alkaline minerals found in hot water attach themselves as you wash your towels, vinegar is an acid (Acetic acid, pH=2) that l dissolves minerals. If the minerals are not removed from the towel it will eventually cause the towel to become abrasive and reduce its ability to absorb water. Fabric softener will also clog a micro fibre and reduce it absorbent qualities, and leave an oily residue on the paint surface.

I use Pinnacle microfiber detergent and vinegar. I started out using regular laundry detergent and I found that microfiber detergents leave the towel more fluffy and with more static. I also use about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle. So that I don't have to stand around waiting for the rinse cycle, I put the vinegar in a Downy ball.

the problem with vinegar as stated above is it is an acid and can reduce the life of towels and damage them. Nobody can offer the exact amount to use, positively. So I use a cleaner designed to clean, remove, and renew towels in one step. Since microfibers (good ones) run 5.00-10.00 each, its not all that expensive to buy a dedicated cleaner.

In all honesty, I have been using Woolite to wash mine in warm water in the washing machine and I've been very happy with the results.
