Microfiber to polish guitar

Has anyone tried to use a microfiber they have bought from Autogeek to polish a guitar? Specifically an acoustic. I just got curious, because the polishing cloth that came with my Dunlop system 65 guitar tech kit is good for polishing, but I don't like to use it on my strings, because it leaves lent in the copper strings.

I have some unused mf's laying around, so wondering if it would be ok.

I have a Seagull S6 Original acoustic guitar. Made of Canadian Wild Cherry, Rosewood and Maple; it has a semi-gloss finish.

Any microfiber should be fine for your intended use. However, there are different levels of quality, thickness/pile or GSM, and blend. Most microfibers vary between 80/20 to 70/30 blend. Which is blend of Polyester/Polyamide.

Any quality microfiber from Autogeek or a reputable detail supply company should serve just fine.

If you mean on the body, any quality microfiber would be fine. I would not wipe it dry, but use an instant detailer or spray wax, spraying it on the microfiber.

Any microfiber will leave lint on the strings, since (I think) they are wound.

it may leave lint, but it will not be as bad as the cloth I have.
