microfiber towel detergent?

I actually just started using a designate mf towel detergent and this is the route I went. I bought a small, 16 ounce size to see how it went, this way I wasn't invested too much and was very happy with the results. I now have the gallon size saved for my next purchase :props:
 
Micro Restore works well in HE washer. I've been experimenting for awhile and 1 oz for around 24 towels seems to be about right. These are towels that have been used for rinseless wash and spray wax. For really dirty towels I soak them overnight in a 5 gallon bucket with 1 oz of Micro Restore, quick hand rinse then wash as usual.
 
Some experimenting to get the results you want is required with MF detergents. I've been using Towel Kleen for a while now and it took me a bit. It's a low foaming detergent and I used it in my HE washer at home. Now I'm experimenting with it in my apartment.

^^^This, in a non-HE on the "hot-cold" setting, heavy wash, plus I put about 4 oz. of distilled white vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser of our old upright. It gets dispersed after the wash water is drained as the spin cycle comes up to speed, then is diluted as the tub fills with cold rinse water. I also use a second rinse. I don't live in California. ;)

I dry them on low heat in the dryer with five blue balls. Perfect every time, not much static and zero lint.
