I have 2 questions for you guys regarding microfiber clothes.

What causes some microfiber towels to leave on the surface some small little particles, it looks like little strands but they are all over the surface and in bunches. But with a better towel they can be wiped away.

Also, what is the best way to wash microfiber to keep them fresh and to get them the most clean.

Thanks, Alex.

Just like with bath towels (ask your GF), some towels lint. May be part of the manufacturing or shearing process. And I think some products or conditions create static electricity that sticks these fibers to the car.

You can try washing new towels a couple times to get rid of the fibers. And you can wash in any fragrance/softener free laundry detergent. For towels that have wax or sealant, a dedicated microfiber cleaner like DP or MicroRestore can really help.

The shedding thing is towel dependent; some do, some don't. Also depends on the surface. For example, I have towels that only shed on glass and work great on every other surface. So, I have all my towels divided up into separate duties.

I wash mine on a normal cycle in the machine but for an extended time to make sure they're clean. ZERO fabri softner...just wash and dry. My towels are in great shape.

Do you only use a microfiber cleaner in the wash or do you use regular detergent too? Thanks a lot.

Alex
