Microfiber towels leaving behind fibers.

I love the TRC 365 chinese edgeless and use them for everything other than waterless washes. I bought them wholesale for maybe 20 cents more per towel than the kirklands. Once you wash the kirkland microfiber towels just once they will degrade and become a little less absorbent (which works fine for wheels, jambs, interiors, and white cars haha just kidding) but the TRC chinese 365 edgeless stay soft through many washes and even though they aren't as plush as most of the towels mentioned, they never liny and I find the edgeless feature along with the higher quality fibers make it preform better than any of the higher gsm korean towels I've bought here.

So far i found to use the incredimitt and the guzzler ww but it seems there are many different mf towels out there. You did say you like the chinese mf but arent the koreans mf towels generally better?

I like them, too. :props:

The white ones are actually much softer than the peach colour. For light clean up with GD method, the whites work rather well.

How do you guys feel about the whole North Korean towels are so much better than Chinese microfibers? IMO it's a bunch of bologna... As long as they're soft and perform to my expectations, I couldn't care less where they come from.

It's not always guaranteed. I pay more attention to blend, then construction - prefer split; better debris/dirt release.

I like medium or shorter naps as they tend to be less grabby and less prone to shed, Korean or not.

Me too. For my drying towels, I look for towels with a 70/30 blend.
And I also prefer shorter nap towels as they're easier to work with and less likely to bunch up while trying to move across the paint.

Since you use the GD method im guessing you dont use a washing mitt like incredimitt? How many MF rags do you think i need for washing a new silverado 1500 truck

Also, The white one you mention....is it the one called the platinum puffle?

Hello Consoleman. For a vehicle that size, I would say 10. You might get away with 8, but it's better to use more towels than polisher, if you know what I mean.

Personally, I would atleast pick up a dozen. Even better two. You'd never know when you need more towels for whatever reason; and there's always something, you can count on that. lol

The ones we are referring to is Edgeless 365.

I use the 800 GSM white towels from them. Good nap on both sides, with strong construction so it doesn't flop around once you fold them into 4ths. They act more like a mitt than a towel, and hold a lot of product.

Eagles are great for drying, but have a lot of drag when washing for me.

the MF towels that come with the WG Uber Ceramic coating leave lint behind.
Not a good thing when buffing off coating residue....

i will use them for door jambs or wheels

I have the 245gsm edgeless for glass, the 300 gsm edgeless as my general purpose towel, the 365 edgeless for polish and wax removal, and the 420 creature for waterless and rinseless washing. They are all EXTREMELY soft and can withstand a ton of washes without degrading or linting. Also because they are dual pile if I wanted to finish glass streak free I can use the short nap side of all of these towels without worrying about leave little fibers all over the glass. I'll never spend 3x as much on a towel that is "korean microfiber" made in china.

I came upon a dozen of white "general purpose" made in China edgeless 300gsm. They are the most luxurious, and I mean super soft, rags I've ever felt in this range. The seller listed them as 80/20, but I'm thinking it's more 70/30. Doesn't feel like 300gsm either, more like 350. I wish I could have gotten more but the seller pretty much disappeared. After that I went looking for other edgeless in this category and none of the popular retailer came close. Talk about phantom rags.

were they from STN?

I picked them up from eBay. Tried looking up the seller but the account is no longer registered. Of course I stained the whole dozen using ONR... sigh

Does anyone have this same issue? Many of my towels are leaving behind tons of fibers on my windows and paint. They aren't noticeable but when the sunlight hits my windshield I can see tons of tiny fibers from my towels? Any advice on how to fix this issue? I don't normally machine dry my towels.

I'm beginning to think this issue may be caused by washing/drying normL microfiber towels in with the waffle weaves. I did my laundry last night and had small bunches of everything.. So I figured why not through my paint/rinseless wash towels in the same load as my mitts and drying towels. Well today as I was driving in the sun I noticed this same annoying problem on the edges of my windshield. I've never noticed this before with my glass towel. I can't help but think that's the cause. Plus the tiny fibers even look yellow.

I'm just glad I didn't need to wash the rest of my waffle weaves yesterday, as most of them just got hung up to dry.
