Microfiber Towels - Which to get!?

Well if you're going to be a Cheap A$$ just get Costco towels. You've got to pay for quality, that's why you're here on AG. Funny how the same towels cost $12 each here. If you want cheap and decent get the black edgeless from CarPro, if you want value get Eagle Edgeless, if you want cheap crap get the low priced ones from CG.

So $70 for a pack of 12 of the eagle edgeless is a good deal? Compared to the chemical guys pack of 12 yellow professionals for $33?

Not a huge fan of the CG MFs I've tried. Just got in an order of the Rag Company Eagle Edgeless though, and OMG I LOVE THEM!! And you can't beat the price.

Im in love my self when i first touched it i said oh my jesus.

I instantly went back on the website, and ordered another 15 because of the labor day sale 3.20 a towel !

I cant blame you for not wanting to pay 70$ for 12 towels, i am in love with the towels however i wouldnt pay 70 dollars for 12 towels.

I ordered them during the labor day sale and got 20 for 60$

And mine took 13 freaking days to arrive, cheap price slow shipping.

Guess I'll have to wait for a good sale. In the meantime I'll get some chemical guys towels as my crappy simoniz are prob scratching the #### out of my car

Order them from their website rather than Amazon and get a bulk discount. My opinions are a little different than most here because I use them for business so I order 50-100 towels at a time. Only thing I can tell you is the CG Professional towels bunch up the fibers and turn to garbage after just 3-5 washes with CG Microfiber Wash. And more of a personal opinion but I hate silk edges. I like the fiber edges on the Supreme 530 towels I have but the "silk" edges just seem like a recipe for disaster if you hit a spec of dirt or dust.

The thing that makes me laugh about this whole thing about so and so's mf towels is that none of them mfg them any way. They pretty much either come from China or Korea, the latter being the best. The blue edgeless mf from TRC many have posted about, Korea. You have to step it up $$$ if you want the real deal which is Korean mf and mfg in Korea. Not Korean mf shipped to China and assembled there. It really doesn't matter whose selling them, it just matters which ones you personally like. But most importantly it matters how you take care of them after the purchase. I have hundreds of mf towels and I do this as a hobby, not for a living. Each of my mf towels has it's place and is cared for accordingly.

Agreed!
Going to SEMA this year and hoping to meet a manufacturer and start distributing quality towels myself. And yes, care is super important.
Use a MF specific detergent.
Wash on Cold.
Rinse twice.
Tumble dry no heat with 4 knobby dryer balls.
Inspect each towel in good lighting with touch and sight.
Use a lint roller on both sides.
Fold.
Place in a dust tight container.
Repeat.

Really sprty?

I ordered mine sep 5 and got them on the 8th i live in chicago i dont know why it took so long for you ? Did you ask why ?

Did you order anything out of stock.
Or just the eagles

If you use TRC be prepared to be patient, I tested them out, 13 days for me to receive the order. And some people started a thread complained about AG's shipping time of 3-5 days LOL!!!

My TRC orders arrive in 2 business days via USPS. Never one issue after TONS! of orders.

Also based on what part of the country your located. From Idaho to Kentucky in 2 days is rather good.

Never had an issue with TRC. I get my order in 3-5 days. With AGO it's about 5-7 days.

I get mine in 2 days..i placed 6 diff orders so far all above 30 dollars and always got mine in 2 days..they always ships them in USPS priority mail..dont know what shipping option you picked..mine got shipped same day all the time..i live NJ by the way..AGO week mostly

Yep, 2 days every time. And a freebie more than a few times. They rock.

Peace,

Darrin

I tracked the shipment the whole time, my point was that many posts were made in numerous past threads bashing AG about their shipping times. It's not necessarily the company doing the selling but the company doing the shipping that takes so long. In my case, the shipment was delayed by the shipping company numerous times with no reason stated. In this case our ever reliable USPS LOL.

Usps is a. Nightmare when i see my package is with them i face palm and instantly know , that im either not going to get the package. Its going to be damaged, or im going yo turn into a skeleton waiting for it.

Another thumbs up here for TRC. Ordered about $80 worth of towels on Friday night (late) and they'll be here tomorrow according to tracking info.

Love their towels though. Good quality and well priced.

What towels did you order 😀 sorry im a sucker for orders on detailing related stuff.

I wish they had that dual pile monster edgeless for the labor day sale as well as the blue 365 gsm edgeless too.

Do you have any waffle weave from them. If so which ones do you recommend

Eagle Blue Edgeless (polish / compound removal)
The Creature - Green (teal are on their way) - (polish / compound removal)
All purpose - Green (sealant removal)

I know i want the 365 edgeless too. And the dual pile monster. On the site it said there are going to re-stock late october.

When they do im going to stock up on those maybe 30 a piece

Yes!

Don't take my word for it. Search the forums for opinions on those 2. If you compare them to other higher end quality towel prices it's on par. And if you buy directly from them instead of Amazon you will get a much better deal than $70 ... pretty much making it a steal.

*not directed towards anyone* out of common courtesy for AG (you can post more freely on their sister site), I would PM a member(s) if I had any questions on which (in this case) microfiber towel(s) to get if I was going to purchase them elsewhere... :props:

Man you read my mind, to much talk about a competitor (especially since I was asked to not mention a specific item that a competitor sold)
