Microfiber vs High End Wool Mitt which one?

What did I miss, what did I miss, what did I miss?
Oh not much really...there is a thread on autopia about a 0 bucket wash. While I don't fully agree with it there are some really good point in the thread. Some of which got me thinking....why do I rinse my mitt in dirty water??? How well does a grit guard really work???

Just sharing my thoughts is all.

I listened to that podcast today... And while I didn't catch all the details regarding the specifics of the 0 bucket wash, I did pay attention to the part where the European dude breaks down why he doesn't believe in Grit Guards and has actually scientifically proven their ineffectiveness. The only thing I use my Grit Guard for is to pre wash my microfiber towels.

I agree with everything he said. I use the same exact method to clean my wash mitts during a wash too.

Thanks - this has my mind wandering a bit. Thanks for the comments.

I think that wool mitts release the dirt better. The MF mitt hold onto it which they should

Very cool. Yeah my grit guards basically just keep my towels from sitting at the bottom of the buck.

Ever since I started using grit guards I was always sceptical. I don't know they may work to some degree but....

Another good use for them is a drying rack for DA pads!
