Microfiber washing: Vinegar/baking soda?

tumble dry medium with these little "dryer balls"
that I put about 1/2 cup water which will
kinda' steam the towels to be soft and anti-static.

All these other things y'all are talking
about is, IMO, just making too much
out of something fairly simple.
Is that about 1/2 cup of distilled water?

Bob

I use vinegar in the rinse cycle.

But as far as using baking soda in the
washing process of MF-towels...

It would seem to me, that, all of the "hoops and
hooks"...that are weaved into microfiber...would
grab and hold on to grains of anything powdery:

Not good.

what if you use hot water and melt/mix the powder in before adding the towels. i just did this with powdered detergent in a pinch

•By heating the water(a solvent); and, then
mixing in the powdered detergent(a solute)
...*in order to have it be better dissolved*...
-You have created a "supersaturated solution".

•That seems all good and well at first.
-But what happens when this heated-up
state-of-supersaturation begins to cool,
and gets colder and colder, as time passes
for the washload of MF-Towels to complete
its wash cycle?

Short answer:
The powdered detergent starts to
"fall out of solution".

•The question then becomes:
-Where, then, does any of these
undissolved powdered detergent
grains land upon and adhere to?

Recently I've noticed some streaking on my windshield that is obviously from my hand cleaning of it. I use my Meg's Supreme Shine yellow towels with either Invisible Glass or Meg's Glass Cleaner. It's not the cleaner. It's gotta be something in the towels. I've had some of these towels for 2+ years and am beginning to think there may have some laundry detergent built up in them. I use Tide Simply Clean and Fresh on them and either cold or "eco-warm" water.

Are the Meg's Supreme Shine yellow towels you're using to clean glass dedicated to only glass cleaning? If no, then could there be a build up of wax or sealant, tire dressing, etc on the towels from other uses besides glass cleaning?

You may need to dedicate some towels for glass use only. And only wash them with other glass towels.

What's your recommendation on a dedicated microfiber cleaner brand that is safe and if you use a laundry detergent which one?

huh... my washing machine cycles through a load of towels in fifteen minutes

So does mine! And the water/detergent
solution gets colder during that time.
I bet yours does too.

It's just one more example of
how Physics affects people's
choices in life.

For $17.99 3D Towel Kleen is the best AND it's back in stock, get it before it's on back order again, LOL.

I actually use 3 ounces per load but may try 2 ounces now to see how it goes.

I barely use 1 oz in my he machine, it lasts forever.

I'm surprised at how fast I ran through that 1st gallon... But then again I think the same way when I see my nearly empty gallon of Shampoo Plus and 3D Pink car wash soap.
