Are all Microfiber weave towels the same? I bought a Ice/turtlewax one since I forgot to include one of the corba guzzler in my order.

no, not all are the same. Some are composed differently. If you get a 80/20 or worse, marring can occur.

DOH! so which cobra microfiber weave towel should i get for drying my car?

Before jumping to conclusions and automatically ruling out this towel just because its a turtlewax branded one, why not wait till you get it? When you get it, just feel the towel. Is it scratchy? Rough? Stiff? It might be a good towel. You never know

well I do have it. didn't come with a bag it was out in the open. this is my first microfiber weave towel so I have nothing to base it on...

what you can do is find a cd and rub the mf towel on the cd and if it scratches then it probably would be a good idea not to use it, if not then go for it

blue perl waffle weave drying towel
pak shak waffle weave drying towel
excel detailing waffle weave drying towel
target Vroom brand microfiber drying towel

etc.....

How about those waffle weave sold in Autozone or Advance Auto Parts.. 36inch square in sizes? Anybody had tried it?

+1 for the cd test. Also, wash it before you use it (always wash your microfibers separately from anything else and wash your glass towels separately from polish/wax/drying towels). No-fragrance laundry detergent, Woolite, or microfiber-specific detergent. No dryer sheets or fabric softeners. A little vinegar in the rinse cycle helps to keep them soft.

I didn't get the ones from Autozone or Advance, but I do have a couple of the big blue ones and an orange Armor All one from Walmart. They haven't scratched any of my cars and they absorb a lot of water.

I got most of mine there. Quite soft and absorbent. Hadn't tried the CD test with them (never thought of that). They seem to work quite well for drying and everything else.

Thanks buddy..will stockup those thing as i'm in US right now.. Take advantage of it now..

Or you could go do the South FL style and rock the electric blower :D

I have a Makita UB 1101 Blower... too powerful and sound is quite high... I cant use it during night time if i had to... so Waffle weave is an option..

Be careful with the cheap MF towels.... They might not scratch and might absorb well... But ones that I got started shedding little microfibers. It was bad enough that they contaminated my good towels too... Just a warning to be careful.

Thanks Racin... But 13bucks isnt cheap for a MF towel i guess... I hope it just fine for me...

I'm was using cheap microfiber cloths from canadiantire (not many options for us canadians). After trying the cd scratch test I will never use them again. Is it best if I invest in a chamois?

I can't get my hands on a waffle weave anytime soon.

I've found microwave fiber towels a good way to clean the inside, especially after popping popcorn in it.
