Microfibers are super linty.

Which products do you usually use to wash and dry your Jetta? I'm wondering if over time they broke down whatever holds the microfiber fibers to the towel.
You mean a "drying aid"? I usually use a ceramic QD(Jescar) or Optimum QD. Just started using Gtechniq QD in the Shelby.

Start drying in the dryer, just make sure to clean the lint trap good before drying your towels.

Drying towels in the dryer removes lint. Hang drying does not.

I've always air-dried microfiber indoors. Air dried because of the heat potentially ruining towels, and indoors to reduce the possibility of contamination.

However, over the last week I've been drying towels in the dryer on low heat. And wow, the towels are coming out softer and fluffier..................almost like they were when brand new.

So, thanks for the prompt Eldorado. (y)

I agree the texture of towel is better from the dryer. Low heat only in everything at our house, clothes included. Just add more time need-be.

If the listing continues I may try air drying but then run through dryer on air-fluff only for a while. Haven't had the opportunity to see if lint remains yet. Weather went back too poo.

So, made a discovery yesterday evening. I finally gave the Jetta a good wash yesterday, Gtechniq Citrus Foam followed by a Reset contact wash. I decided to place my faith in the proven Jescar Ultralock Plus+. Through the detail I was having mild issues with towel lint. Not as bas as it has been but still noticeable. Well...when it came time to buff off the Jescar, no lint. None. I couldn't help but notice the shocking difference in the sickness between the Jetta and the 500. The ULP+ allows the towel to glide effortlessly across the paint, and no lint is transfered. Beginning to wonder if it is just my cars and the static cling they have due to my quick and easy LSPs I use. Jescar Ceramic Spray Wax has been a go-to for a couple years now due to ease of use and time saved. Spray on when still wet, dry as usual, done.

This is basically forcing me to put ULP+ on the 500 now to see if that too makes the lint transfer stop on that car as well....about to see how warm it is in a moment...if still above 50° its probably happening today. But my paternity leave starts next week, so I should have at least some opportunity to apply it to the 500. My first ever event with the 500 is June 14th. A boy turns 4 and lost his Mom a few months back. His Aunt is organizing a convoy of cars to drive up to his house during the party to surprise him. I plan on going as long as it is dry roads.
