Microfibre tech any good?

plenty of good sources for microfiber.. if you dont buy them here at AG then check out the a formentioned and also the rag company, stocktowelsnow, and pakshak to name a few...

I've been really impressed with the MF towels from ahtowels.com. I've bought from a half dozen other sources in the past and these are the best quality I've found, and at the lowest price I've paid.

Now if I can find a similar source for waffle weaves I'll be all set.

I'd never heard of ahtowels before, that's definitely interesting, although they seem to be pretty hodge-podge with their selection. And they're actually good quality? For prices like that I just couldn't see them being anything other than mediocre super-cheap chinese stuff or worse?

Out of curiosity & for the sake of reference, what other sources did you try before choosing that one? I've yet to find anywhere better than MFT or TRC when it comes to actual, good high quality microfiber for the best price.

I've had great luck with MFTech towels and will definitely be ordering more in the future. Great prices, fast shipping, good service.

My experience with ahtowels is only with two products. Their "plush thick microfiber towel" and "2 sided plush thick microfiber towel". I was very skeptical at first, too. So I ordered a half dozen of each. They are EASILY the best towels I've ever used. Altho I strongly prefer the 2-sided version and probably won't order the other one anymore. Honestly, I think the rest of their products look like complete crap and I wouldn't even wash my dishes with them.

I just wanted to mention them because they are so affordable and great quality. (And no, I have no affiliation with them.)

I can't remember who else I ordered from in the past. Since I only detail my own car, and occasionally a friend's, I don't wear out towels very fast. And I'm extremely meticulous about caring for them (since I learned quickly how difficult they can be to replace cheaply). A dozen towels will last me several years.

Prior to ordering from AHtowels, I would place small orders from various lesser known suppliers when I would find something that looked like a good deal, and was disappointed more often than not. I never placed a second order so I didn't have a reason to remember who they were (other than to avoid them).

I realize that you generally get what you pay for, but I was lucky in my early years and found good MF towels for $2 or less. That set the bar for me and I would always keep looking for new deals. For once I found a place that I'm willing to place a second order.

hope not in violate of forum rules I heard of the rag company microfiber auto detailing products

Been very happy with MFTech. Definitely recommend the 500gsm double split MF's. Ian sent me one of those to test out. Almost like it better than the 530's. Very good customer service (right up there with AG). Ian spent over a 1/2 hour with me on the phone answering my newb MF questions and took care of a handful of defective towels in short order.

A & H is 2 blocks from where I work. I'll run over there on lunch tomorrow. Thanks !

Yup, the 530/500 gsm towels are sneaky good from first use so far.
