Midnight Blue Metallic Grand Prix

Finally getting around to posting these pictures. This was my cousin's Grand Prix GT that he wanted detailed. He went with the silver package detail which is wash, clay, 1 step polish, sealant, engine bay, and interior detail. The paint was trashed but Menzerna Power Finish 2500 brought it back to life. The inside was in better shape then I was thinking it was going to be so that made this detail a breeze. Enjoy.

What did you use on the exhaust tips? They almost look white.

My brother-in-law and I were talking about paint colors this afternoon and his general dislike of blues with the exception of his midnight blue Trans Am. Now I see what he was referring to. Your cousin must be ecstatic. Car looks amazing. I'm curious to know what pad you used and how many. How many hours did polish step take?
It's taking forever for me to post this. I keep going back to those after pics. A car doesn't have to be an exotic to be a head turner.

Thanks. Customer brought a can of metallic silver spray paint. That is what he wanted me to use so I did.

Thanks. Still using the Flex 3401 on almost all my work. I only break out the rotary on hard clears or deeper defects the customer asks to have removed

Thanks. I used the Lake Country Orange Hybrid pad. I start on speed 6 then back the pressure and speed down to 4 on the last few passes. Total polishing time was around 3 hours. He was pretty happy. I was until he asked about removing bird bombs with a paper towel. We did a little customer education at that point.
