I'd give them the original and make yourself a copy, you can do it the other way too, keep the original and give them a copy. The best way would be to use a copy machine, if that's not possible then print two copies and keep the original for your records and a fresh copy with the same information checked off, etc.

No simple way with multiple forms but I would want them to have a "nice" copy because you want them to,

  • Remember you.
  • Give you referrals.
  • Sign-up for a maintenance program if they are the right kind of customer.
  • Remember your work, that is the before and after difference.

I order a ream of "blank" carbonless paper (2 pages), this is how I make my invoices, terms & condition form copies (white copy for me, yellow for the client) so I don't have to write twice, works great. Just wasn't sure if the client needed more paperwork from me. I'm going to add the VIF to my carbonless forms list.
