Mike's Detail Shop: Custom painted Air Force hood

Mike I have to admit, when I first saw it was you (before reading the thread) .... I got a grin on my face, followed by a puzzled look. ;) Got me to thinking, how in the world is Mike detailing *outside* in Germany. :D

OTOH, I bet your Flex was really happy that it finally got some love. ;)
Maybe once the rest of the guys there see what you can do that'll be the biggest business card you ever 'toted' around. :dblthumb2: After all, it's not like they don't have cars over there. My youngest Godson was stationed in Bamburg had his car there, been stationed 3 other places here in the states, car goes everywhere. (Except Afghanistan, (twice) of course) Darned thing had more miles on it being shipped around the world than it got being driven for 4 years!

Wouldn't it be cool if he had a car the hood would fit on? And of course getting the hood attached to said car! (While he was sleeping of course.)

Hi Tony! It's a different atmosphere that's for sure.

My Flex was "in love" getting some use again. Sure did feel good. I did land a customer now from this job. I will keep you guys updated on the next job. I hear they are the painted motorcycle parts. ie both fenders and gas tank. My car is about the same way as his. I have 26k on it and it has been to the U.S. and here 2 round trips.

Soon in the spring my car will get some more track miles (Nurburgring) :D

Beautiful work Mike. Thanks for posting and sharing such a unique project.

Thanks Chris!
