Milk odor removal

Eeesh, so apparently my 4 year old popped the top off of his cup and spilled some milk without telling us and the stink has started to set in. Still trying to determine where it was spilled because there was no obvious stain on the leather or the carpet. It might have just been in his car seat (hopefully) but not 100% sure.

I pulled the car seat out and that definitely helped but hasn't completely removed it. Has anyone had success getting rid of the stink?

Seek out the source. You know the general area of where you child sits, so start there.

Kids-n-Pets works great on smelly situations. Its avalible at Wal-Mart
 
The key is finding where the spill occured. An enzyme bacteria digester will work great. Don't use it on leather. I hope this helps.

get down close to the carpet with your nose to find the spill:bowdown:LOL
Clean with one part vinegar to one part water.

Will smell like vinegar for a day or so though
 
If you have access to a carpet extractor, I'd suggest this with some cleaner. The milk (if on the carpet) I'm sure soaked through, so having the extractor will help get the majority of it up.

You can also use some cleaner (weather it be diluted APC, carpet extractor cleaners, etc), scrub the area, then use a shop vac to suck out the moisture.
 
Oh yeah, baby seat is already taken apart and being cleaned. What are some specific enzyme cleaners that anyone has used? I've been looking on line and found some along with ozone generators and some chemical chlorine dioxide generator. Just debating what to try because the car smells like death.
 
You may have to pull the rear seat out. It may have run down under the seat.
 
After you find and clean the source, one of those odor wizard or odor genie absorbers from wally world might take out the lingering smell. I use one because of smoking, and it helps. They're round and silver plastic, and have a solid odor absorbing material. A box of baking soda might do it if the car is parked for a couple days.
