Milwaukee cordless DA

That is really cool. It will be interesting to hear how this performs. Battery life and weight will be big factors for a lot of buyers.

It's actually works great.

I have one and a few weeks ago I tested out doing a three-step process to my personal truck.

Step 1: Compounding with a wool pad

Step 2: Polising with a foam polishing pad.

Step 3: Jeweling with a gold jeweling pad.

My contact said they were not going to announce this till later this month?

Tons of power. Battery life was no issue. Have you seen the size of my truck?

:)

Milwaukee announced it yesterday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at a media event.

:dunno:

Wow, pretty interesting Mike. Would you pick that over a corded machine, or only if you had no access to an outlet? I'm guessing it's no PE-14, either. I mean, you're not giving up your corded polishers (yet), are you?

t's a great time to be into detailing. The best part about Milwaukee coming out with something like this is it will drive everyone to put out their best product to compete with it. Just like the smart phone wars - who makes the best one? Who cares - they all keep getting better!
On a side note - I've heard of buffing through the clear - but holy cats HE BUFFED THROUGH THE REST OF THE CAR!

No, he just cut it in half and moved the other half facing the door behind him. That's some goofy backdrop or photoshop, nothing really makes sense in that picture.

Good eye! Didn't even catch that. **Goes back for more coffee**

Hey Mike
Did you test it with the current 5amp XC battery,
Or did you use it with the new 6amp or 9 amp battery?

Dewalt is going to be launching some powerful stuff too
Signed up for their news letter

Milwaukee always seems to lead though the power of their impacts seem down as Makita def has them beat,
And no one is competing with IR right angle impact with 180 ft lbs of torque..everyone else including Milwaukee is only at 40 ft lbs of torque...

Was thinking the same thing like, "Where is the rest of the car?" hilarious.

It'll be interesting to see if I get access to this as my company is a large Milwaukee tool distributor and our parent company is The Home Depot. Wonder if can get a demo unit LOL.

Yeah that's been out a few years
But that may be the 2nd gen with the X in the part number
Think that one just comes with bigger batteries

Thought about getting g it for headlight restoration, bit the 2800 Rpms may prove to be too much so got their drill

The RPM is not variable?

Glad to hear power and battery life are not an issue. Is the weight similar to regular rotary? 7-8lbs?
