Mini Detailing Clinic in Evansville, Indiana

If I bring this truck, can we polish on it? It has several colors to work with !! LOL

Just curious Mike...

Any chance of dragging Nick along to this event?

I have a Chevy Silverado we use for on site details! It is a solid 3 or 4 on paint. It does have some of the typical rock chips and unavoidable wear and tear. I'm open for using it in the class if needed. I've been wanting to put the true time into it that it deserves but its been getting neglected due to a growing list of paying customers!

I have attached a few pictures! Its not a custom paint job or hot rod but its available!

Either way I'm excited for the detailing night!

I'll bring along a little something...

You're going to look cute showing up in a pink car :o

You should drive your Porsche 997 instead :props:

I'm willing to drive 5 hours from Chicago just for the chance to have Mike show me how to work with M105. Not sure why but I can't get the hang of it and it kills me.

Mike, put me down if there if spots are still open. Great to see AG making an effort like this. It's a long way from FLA.

Oops! Cancel that Mike, my geography was off. Little further than I realized. Bummer.

I've added your name to the list. This is just what I and others in the online world call a GTG, that is short for a Get Together. I'm going to be in town for 3 days and since my friend Scott has a shop and was interested in seeing some tools and techniques for his employees, (body shop work), he offered up his facilities and said I could invite some forum friends, so the thanks goes to Scott.

Max also enabled me to be here plus I shipped up some tool, pads and products to play with and that's also a shipping expense.

My boot camp classes are actually very thorough and a GTG in no way takes the place of two days of hands-on training in a classroom/garage that is completely stocked to the hilt with everything needed to do a first rate job.

I will have fliers with me on my next boot camp class as well as 8-9 of my how-to books which will be for sale and I'm always happy to sign them.

Sorry to see you can't make it, I'm sure there will be pictures though...

:)

Is it too late to sign up? I would sure like to be there.

Nope, but keep in mind, this is just a casual get together. One of the primary purposes for this mini clinic is I'm going to show the below for some of the guys that work in Scott's body shop, that is how to,

  • Machine Wetsand - 3M & Meguiar's 3" and 6" Trizact and Unigrit Discs
  • Use Rotary Buffers - I'll have the DeWALT Bumblebee and the Flex PE14
  • Meguiar's SMAT Twins - M105 & M205
  • Flex 3401 - How to remove defects without leaving swirls - Pinnacle Advanced Swirl Remover & Advanced Finishing Polish
  • Porter Cable 7424 - How to remove swirls and machine wax - Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax
  • Speedy Prep Towel Techniques
  • Nanoskin Autoscrub Techniques
Plus a few other tips and techniques wherever they fit it.

:)

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the clinic. Hope you will be back in this area sometime.
