Mission: Wetsanding - Many pics inside

wet sanding is not so bad. i try to use the most common sense I can while doing it. I usually use the PC on speed 1 with 2-3,000 grit and polish it out afterward. I try to do light even sanding across an area to where the marring is uniform then polish it out.

The only time I do it is when a customer knows for sure the paint has not been sanded before. I need to get one of those clearcote measuring devices.

Is wet sanding with a pc dangerous with all that water?

If you want, you can just be careful with it. It has not died yet :p I am however about to get an air sander. With the PC, I just wear some kind of work gloves and hold it around the openings.

Im not suggesting you use the PC, its what I do. however, you should get similar results with a low powered orbital or air sander. :) I would have used an air sander all along but I just now got a good compressor to use.
